My Adaptogen Program
There is no GPS for better health… but there is a MAP
Adaptogen: any agent possessing the ability to increase the body/mind’s capacity to adapt to stress.
Who? For anyone who’s Life feels out of balance and is suffering from stress-related symptoms (poor sleep, anxiety, tension, depression, fatigue, unexplained physical distress). MAP is intended and designed to stand on its own as a vehicle for personal growth and enhancing lifestyle balance. MAP can also be valuable as an adjunct to anyone currently in psychotherapy (Please note: MAP is an educational program and is not intended to replace mental health therapy.)
What? MAP is a short term (five classes) psychological/educational program designed to: teach participants a variety of proven methods to reduce stress and increase well-being; help participants assess which of these methods work best for their needs; create and implement one’s personal MAP for optimizing health.
When? The MAP educational group meetings will be available both during the day as well as evening hours. (Please see contact information below for more specific information.)
Where? Currently, the MAP classes are being held at Partners-in-Healing in Lincolndale, NY. (Please see ‘googlemaps.com’ for directions).
Why? Over 300 research studies that all conclude that chronic stress negatively affects the immune system and our health. Research also supports the conclusion that lifestyle accounts for up to 80-90% of medical office visits. Perhaps most importantly, it is possible to counterbalance the effects of stress through various methods (many of which are simple, efficient, and highly effective).
